Policy for using online services in teaching and learning

Account ownership:

Each student has their own school issued user account for their learning platform (eg. Maths Buddy, Education Perfect).


The sharing of account login details is discouraged.


The Thinking Caps User Agreement outlines the boundaries for use and encourages the students and tutors to think about appropriate online behaviour and the management of their online profiles.

Content ownership:

Content shared with students via online lessons remains the property of Thinking Caps for Kids Ltd.

Privacy:

The Thinking Caps User Agreement encourages students and tutors to think about their privacy online.


Learning that takes place between the student and their tutor is not to be shared with others online.

Involving parents/whānau:

Agreement will be sought from students, tutors and parents/whanau in regards to use of online learning and access to digital devices.

 

Thinking Caps for Kids Ltd will use the “Responding to Digital Incidents Guide” to deal with issues affecting students and tutors.
