Thinking Caps Maths Tutoring follows the New Zealand curriculum; building children’s number knowledge and basic facts recall, as well as developing efficient strategies to solve mathematical problems.
Children are tutored in small groups, ensuring individual attention along with the ability to discuss their thinking in a small group, as they do in class. Children are grouped according to their numeracy stage and work on activities that will improve their number knowledge and strategy thinking.
We run in-school lessons in over 10 schools across the Hibiscus Coast and North Shore.
Our after school lessons are in our purpose-built learning centre at 6 David Sidwell Place, Stanmore Bay (off Karepiro Dr).
Our virutal tutoring provides all of the benefits of on-site lessons without the need for you to be in North Auckland.
These one on one sessions are particularly useful for college students preparing for exams.
